Toward The Art and Craft of Mind Body Freedom (with thoughts about the practice of Nonviolent Communication)

Mind body alignment.

An exploration of ideas.

Mind Body Freedom

What matters is not the method,
but whether it opens the space (or puts you in the state) where:

  • effort drops

  • trust becomes possible

  • re-patterning can occur

  • love and faith stop being ideas and become lived states.

At such times, it’s an experience, not a controlled mental task (although the mind is still a part of things in some ways).

In this state shared bandwidth increases (mental and emotional flexibility).

Accessing coherence: When both parties are present and attuned people can respond from a grounded, aware state rather than reacting from habitual defensive patterns.

Yet, most interaction is when people are NOT in that state.

(And humans likely have to move back and forth between states to function)

Perhaps some of the art lies in knowing how to shift one’s self - and in that way at times energetically inviting others into a different state.

It is not just about:  tone of voice, body presence, attunement (which can be helpful to monitor and change)

But that the state you are actually in - in the moment - is producing changes in those, probably ones that can't be planned

Attempts to control the state or create a specific future outcome (strategy) may interfere with the necessary state to be effective.

  • You cultivate your own coherence.

  • You perceive the reality of the other system.

  • You respond from your state, letting subtle guidance arise.

  • Your state is the foundation. The other’s state is input.
